The disc Fenêtres intérieures by Roxanne Trucotte is in 3rd position on Montréal-radio CKUT “Top 30” this week.

The Foundation Destellos announced today the results of the 8th edition of its electroacoustic composition competition. The first prize of both categories were not awarded. Thus, in the acousmatic category, two ex æquo second prizes were awarded to works by Gilles Gobeil and Andrew Babcock, and, in the mixed category, the second prize was awarded to Demian Rudel Rey. Mentions were also attributed to David Hindmarch, Daniel Blinkhorn, Louise Rossiter, Nikos Stavropoulos, and Keita Matsumiya.

Yesterday at the 2nd Klang competition (Montpellier, France, 2015) Lightvessels by David Berezan was awarded the 1st prize and Hydatos by João Pedro Oliveira was awarded the 2nd prize.

The 16th Concurso Internacional de Composição Electroacústica Música Viva has awarded its Prize to Counterattack by Adrian Moore. The jury also decided to recognized with honourable mentions Sibylle by Gilles Gobeil and Ventriloquy by Andrew Babcock. The first two works are being released this month on empreintes DIGITALes.

Yestarday in Sherbrooke (Québec), the work Champs de fouilles by Martin Bédard was awarded the 2nd Prize of the 7th Prix collégien de musique contemporaine (PCMC), headed by Cégep de Sherbrooke.

The 18th Opus Prizes winners were announced on February 1, 2015 in Montréal. The “Disc of the Year — Musique actuelle, Electroacoustics” is La marée by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay.
