Une île [An Island] was realized during an artist residency in the Electroacoustic Music Studios of the University of Birmingham (UK) and at the composer’s studio. It was premiered on October 22, 2009 during the 16th international acousmatic festival L’Espace du son at Théâtre Marni, Brussels, Belgium. Une île was commissioned by the Institut international de musique électroacoustique de Bourges (IMEB, France); the residency when it was realized was made possible through the financial support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ).
