  • May 24 – 25, 2006: Two Concerts by Boudreau in Montréal

    On May 24 and 25, 2006, the company Musiques Itinérantes (MI) will present a selection of works by Michelle Boudreau in two thematic concerts to be held at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur (Montréal). Firstly, on May 24 the concert Les roches chantent will feature a few excerpts from L’Intruse, a work drawing on diverse concrete sources recorded in a village of the Canadian North. The following day, May 25, the concert Tripsodies groups 3 of Boudreau’s works, such as Ma magie, currently available on CD.

    Inventionen 2006, Festival für aktuelle Musik presents concerts, installations and conferences on May 24-28, 2006 in Berlin. On May 25 Jocelyn Robert will present Resident of Unit D at Telas-Kubus (Klosterstraße 68-70, Berlin-Mitte). On May 28, at Villa Elisabeth (Invalidenstraße 3, Berlin-Mitte), Christian Calon, Robert Normandeau, Gilles Gobeil, and Francis Dhomont will respectively present their acousmatic work Time Well / La fontaine du temps, Tangram, Nuit cendre, and Voyage-miroir. During the whole festival, May 24-28, at DAAD Galerie (Zimmerstraße 90/91, Berlin-Mitte), the works StrinGDberg and Éden by Robert Normandeau will be played every half-hour from 11am to 6pm; a conference by this DAAD resident composer is planned for May 24 at 6pm.

    Kristoff K.Roll will take part in the “Cinq 102” concert with Catherine Jauniaux, Ute Wölker and Carl Ludwig Hüsch at the Musée d’art moderne et contemporain in Strasbourg (France) on May 3, 2006. The duo will also play on May 5 at the Alte Schmiede gallery in Vienna (Austria), and will present L’étonnement sonore with Rémy Héritier at the Musique action festival (Vandœuvre, France) on May 26.

    April 23 – May 14, 2006: Oswald Exhibits in Toronto

    John Oswald is presenting a solo art show at the Ed Day Gallery (Toronto), to be shown until May 14, 2006. In addition to the exhibition, a 2-projector version of his “chronophotic” work instandstillnessence will be presented outdoors on Sunday April 23, part of the closing ceremonies for the Images Film and Video Festival.
