Michel Chion, one of the fathers of electroacoustic music, will be in Montréal on February 19, 2009 for the festival Montréal/Nouvelles Musiques 2009. He’ll present two premieres — Credo, and Le souffle court — in a concert coproduced by the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ) and Réseaux. He will also give two conferences at the Grande bibliothèque on February 19 and at the Université de Montréal on February 19.

Gilles Gobeil will be at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow (UK) to give a conference and a concert on December 15, 2008. He will present works from his recent DVD-Audio Trois songes.

Gobeil will participate at the EAU Festival (Electric Audio Unit) in Oslo (Norway) on December 6-7, 2008. He will give a master class on December 7 and will present two concerts on December 6-7 where he will play his works Ombres, espaces, silences, Castalie and Le miroir triste. He will then present 3 works from his recent DVD-Audio Trois songes on December 9 in Weimar (Germany) at the Studio für elektroakustische Musik (SeaM) of the Franz Liszt School of Music Weinar and the Bauhaus University. He will then give a master class at the same place on December 10.

Arturo Parra give a concert and a master class at the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) during the VII Semana Internacional de Guitarra 2008 which takes place from November 3 to 8, 2008. The master class will present the new playing modes he has created and the interaction between guitar and electroacoustic.

The Philippe Le Goff’s cine-musical performance Nanuq & Ganesh — images and sound by Philippe Le Goff — will be presented at the Théâtre de l’Agora in Évry (France) on November 18 — 20, 2008. The performance will then travel to the Festival des 38^e rugissants in Grenoble (France) on November 25, 2008.

Now directed by Nicolas Bernier, Réseaux presents Akousma (5), Electroacoustic Musics Festival, on December 9 to 13, 2008 at the Monument-National in Montréal.
