  • February 19 – 20, 2009: Michel Chion Presents Two Premieres in Montréal

    Michel Chion, one of the fathers of electroacoustic music, will be in Montréal on February 19, 2009 for the festival Montréal/Nouvelles Musiques 2009. He’ll present two premieres — Credo, and Le souffle court — in a concert coproduced by the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ) and Réseaux. He will also give two conferences at the Grande bibliothèque on February 19 and at the Université de Montréal on February 19.

    December 6 – 7, 2008: Gilles Gobeil at EAU in Oslo, and SeaM in Weimar

    Gobeil will participate at the EAU Festival (Electric Audio Unit) in Oslo (Norway) on December 6-7, 2008. He will give a master class on December 7 and will present two concerts on December 6-7 where he will play his works Ombres, espaces, silences, Castalie and Le miroir triste. He will then present 3 works from his recent DVD-Audio Trois songes on December 9 in Weimar (Germany) at the Studio für elektroakustische Musik (SeaM) of the Franz Liszt School of Music Weinar and the Bauhaus University. He will then give a master class at the same place on December 10.

    December 9 – 13, 2008: Akousma (5): Stollery, Bouchard, Copeland, Normandeau… in Montréal

    Now directed by Nicolas Bernier, Réseaux presents Akousma (5), Electroacoustic Musics Festival, on December 9 to 13, 2008 at the Monument-National in Montréal. On the main menu? 4 double bills: Pete Stollery / Jacques Poulin-Denis + Martin Messier; Georges Forget / Sébastien Roux; Christian Bouchard / Phroq (Francisco Meirino); Darren Copeland + Andreas Kahre / Robert Normandeau. Plus conferences and workshops.
