    The Pointe-à-Callière museum presents the 14th Symphonies portuaires (harbour symphonies) on March 2 and 9, 2008. For the occasion, the museum has called upon guitarist and electroacoustic composer Martin Leclerc who will present Un écho à la mer for horns of ships moored in the Quays of the Old Port. Martin Leclerc just released his first album, Horizons du silence, on empreintes DIGITALes.

    Robert Normandeau and John Young will present concerts at the 7th Cultural Exchanges 2008 festival at De Montfort University in Leicester in February (England, UK). On February 27, 2008, Normandeau will present 4 works: Spleen, Murmures, Kuppel and Figures de rhétorique, the latter with UK pianist Sarah Nicolls. On February 25 Young will give the first public presentation of the Surround 5.1 version of Ricordiamo Forlì (made for his DVD-Audio Lieu-temps).

    January 23 – February 28, 2008: Premieres by Adkins in England, Wales

    Mathew Adkins will be presenting, on January 23, 2008, a new work at the Music Research Centre, University of York (England, UK): Five Panels: Panel No. 1, to Luke, commission by SpACE-Net. The piece will be presented several times again: on January 26 at the GEMdays Festival in Huddersfield (England, UK); on February 2 as part of the Sonic Arts Research Day at the University of Leeds (England, UK); then on February 28 during the Bangor New Music Festival 2008 in Bangor (Wales, UK). This last concert will also include Silk to Steel, Symbiont, Vistas [now titled Last Thoughts Before Silence] and the world premiere of Five Panels: Panel No. 3, to Annis.
