Espaces éphémères ,Seddon seems to be acutely aware of the fleeting joys of life, which seem to pass by far too quickly for all of us; this is reflected in his work, along with a reminder to keep paying attention, and remember that life is not a rehearsal. — The Sound Projector, UK
… the work of sound processing, his way of extracting all forms of textures […] and above all of directing them with finesse and sensitivity, all this makes this disc […] a work to be discovered… — Revue & Corrigée, France

Transient Spectral Bursts
Reading his notes here, which are very lucid, I’m warming to his work as it seems to be inspired by practical and everyday things, yet also allows some room for speculation about the bigger issues, such as ageing and the passing of time. Some pieces are directly inspired by his own family, his children and his parents. My favourite piece here is

Critique
Review
With the sparse, gritty washes of
Despite its sombre accompanying notes, time seems to be treated somewhat more playfully in
It’s a sombre and at times glacially slow set of pieces, but with a nuanced texture that really draws the ear in and helps you to appreciate the small sounds and details. Though essentially a collection of old works, for many it may strike a chord with 2020 lockdown and the newfound senses of slow and distant that have been forced onto many of us. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s gently powerful.
Kritik
