On the closing event of the Antenne-A festival the Consort contemporain de Québec (CCQ) will combine the music of Steve Reich with the electronic processing of sound artist Érick d’Orion on satyrday October 6 starting at 10pm at salle Multi of Méduse in Québec City.

Domino: le passage du Nord-Ouest by Érick d’Orion has been selected by the biennial Trafic’Art, in Chicoutimi(Québec), which theme is climate changes. d’Orion’s piece will be broadcast (constinuously) on 88,9 FM in Chicoutimi from September 18 to 21, 2007. It will also be presented at [Séquence] arts centre in Saguenay.

The Bande à part website, broadcaster — via satellite radio, FM radio, and the web — of emerging and exploratory musics, presents an interview with the two members of morceaux_de_machines, A_dontigny and Érick d’Orion (in French). Érick d’Orion will present his Solo de musique concrète pour 6 pianos sans pianiste ausio installation, realized as part of a Recto-Verso artist residency programme. The space imagined by the artist invites people to rediscover the piano in a “concrete” perspective, exploring it without the usual intermediaries (scores, musicians). 6 pianos of different eras will react to impulsions given by eccentrics mechanics placed on the structures. The event takes place on Thursday March 29, 2007 at the Studio d’Essai of Méduse in Québec City.

Érick d’Orion is one of the guest artists at the Rencontres de musiques spontanées 3 (RMS3) in Rimouski (Québec). He will present his latest audio art creation, Téléphonie cellulaire, on December 1, 2006. The next day, he leaves for France where he will give a series of Napalm Jazz concerts, from December 2 — 10, with fellow musician Philémon.

The first edition of Audio abstractions (Aa) will take place on August 20, 2006 at La Chambre blanche (Québec City) with i8u, Érick d’Orion, and Gal.
