The Belgian organization Musiques & Recherches was invited to present a series of concerts in Lisbon (Portugal): “Avril au Portugal.” Three acousmatic concerts will be presented with works by Bernier, Dhomont, Drese, Harrison, and Parmegiani. The April 5 concert will be focused on Annette Vande Gorne’s works.

The 14th international acousmatic festival L’Espace du son will take place from October 17 to 21, 2007 at Théâtre Marni in Brussels. The opening night of the festival will celebrate the Musiques & Recherches’ 25th anniversary, premiering 3 musical works: Voix de l’aurore by Ingrid Drese, Murmures by Robert Normandeau, and Chœur des femmes 2, a movement from the opera Yawar Fiesta by Annette Vande Gorne on a libretto by Werner Lambersy. The day after, October 18, will be dedicated to Christian Calon’s music; October 19, to Jean-François Minjard; October 20, to Bernard Parmegiani; and October 21 to Beatriz Ferreyra and Ana Dall’Ara-Majek.

Futura 2007, the international festival of acousmatic art, will take place from August 17 au 19, 2007 in Crest (France). This festival’s edition build around Christian Zanési’s work will notably host, Amongst many composers, Mathew Adkins, Patrick Ascione, Darren Copeland, Denis Dufour, Chantal Dumas, Bernard Parmegiani, Laurie Radford, Pete Stollery, Benjamin Thigpen, and Annette Vande Gorne.

Bernard Parmegiani took part in the spatialized concert that opened the Villette Sonique festival in Paris (France) which will last until June 10, 2007. The goal of this edition entitled ”Idéal vacarme“ is to be iconoclastic and adventurous.

The 4th Festival di interpretazione della musica acusmatica will take place at the Auditorium della Facolta’ di Lettere in Cagliari (Sardinia), on June 15 — 17, 2007.
