empreintes DIGITALes

Founded in Montréal in 1989 by Jean-François Denis and Claude Schryer — directed by Jean-François Denis since 1991 — the label empreintes DIGITALes focuses on electroacoustics, acousmatics, musique concrète… In 2005 empreintes DIGITALes innovates and jumps from CD to DVD-Audio, bringing the sound’s depth and spaciousness from concert halls to your living room. DVD-Audio offers very high fidelity with its 24-bit encoding and immersive sound space of home cinema’s Surround 5.1. In 2014 empreintes DIGITALes innovates again with the release of a first disc on Blu-ray (audio only) still in 24-bit high-resolution and in Surround 7.1, Surround 5.1, and stereo. Since the Spring 2018 “studio”-quality stereo digital audio files in FLAC (along with OGG and MP3) are available!
