Robert Normandeau will present Montréal electroacoustic works on March 24, 2010 at the Soundings concert in Limerick (Irlande). On the programme are works by the composer — Palimpseste, Jeu de langues, and Éden — and by Montréal composers Nicolas Bernier, and Dominic Thibault.

No Type’s disc Les arbres by Nicolas Bernier was awarded the Opus prize of the “Disc of the Year — Musique actuelle, Electroacoustics” at the 13th Opus Prizes gala on January 31, 2010 in Montréal. Also of interest: Chorals ornés for organ and tape by Yves Daoust — and performed by Régis Rousseau — was awarded the Opus prize “Premiere of the Year.”

Nicolas Bernier and Martin Messier will be at the transmediale festival in Berlin (Germany) on February 6, 2010 to present their new project La chambre des machines at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
