Annette Vande Gorne will present a concert of videomusics on May 27, 2009 at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium). The programme includes a videomusic by Pierre Alexandre Tremblay titled Walk That Way. Tuesday, Turn. and two other works, one of which is a videomusic by Inés Wickmann with music by Beatriz Ferreyra.

The City University of New York will present two days of concerts during the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival and Conference (NYCEMF). The event takes place from April 2 to 4, 2009 in New York (USA). The programme includes works by Pete Stollery, Pierre Alexandre Tremblay, Mathew Adkins, Adrian Moore, Hans Tutschku, Martin Bédard, Georges Forget, Geof Holbrook and many, many others!

Annette Vande Gorne will be in concert at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) on April 26, 2009 to present movements of her electroacoustic opera Yawar Fiesta, one of which, called Condor, will be premiered. The other movements to be played are Combattimento (chœur des femmes II and Ouverture.

Åke Parmerud and Roger Cochini will each be awarded the Qwartz Hommage Pierre-Schaeffer during the gala of the 5th Qwartz Electronic Music Awards at Cirque d’hiver Bouglione in Paris (France) on April 3, 2009. This prize pays tribute to a composer of electroacoutics. The previous prize winners are Bernard Parmegiani (2006); Henri Pousseur (2007); Beatriz Ferreyra and Jean-Claude Risset (2008).

Young composers from Conservatoire de Mons (Belgium) will present a concert on April 2, 2009 at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) where they will perform works by, amongst others, Steve Reich, Christian Zanési, Richard Devine, and Denis Dufour.
