Ο πρώτος προσωπικός δίσκος του Καναδού συνθέτη Martin Bédard, με τίτλο Topographies, περιέχει πέντε κομμάτια δίκην φανταστικού σάουντρακ αντίστοιχων περιοχών της πόλης του Κεμπέκ. Με την αισθητική των electroacoustics αλλά και των acousmatics ένθα το βάρος δίνεται όχι τόσο στη μελωδία, το ρυθμό ή το μέτρο όσο στη χροιά και στην ηχητική γκάμα. Συμβατικά όργανα, ηχητικά εφέ και field recordings συνιστούν ένα αξεδιάλυτο μουσικό κράμα πέρα από κάθε έννοια μουσικής ετικέτας. Απρόβλεπτη στην εξέλιξη και με πυκνές στην διαστρωμάτωσή τους δυναμικές.

It is during the Loop 6 festival — two days of concerts at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium) — that Elizabeth Anderson will present her works L’éveil, Protopia/Tesseract, and Solar Winds on November 30, 2013.

The 20th international acousmatic festival L’Espace du son 2013 will take place on November 21 - 24, 2013 at Théâtre Marni in Brussels (Belgium). On the programme: portrait-concerts of John Young, Flô Menezes, Åke Parmerud, and Yves Daoust.

Pete Stollery and Jonty Harrison will present a concert on November 19, 2013 during the Festival de Música de Morelia (Mexico).

The Giga-Hertz-Award 2013 celebrates the career of two composers and three production prizes are given to composers for projects to be realized at the ZKM or the Experimentalstudio. The grand prizes for electronic music were attributed to John Chowning and Francis Dhomont while the three production prizes were awarded to Roque Rivas, Alexander Schubert, and Ying Wang. The grand prize for sound art was attributed to Pierre Henry. The awards will be presented on November 30, 2013 at the ZKM (Karlsruhe, Germany).

The mixed work for 4 voices, 6 percussion, and tape Baobabs by Robert Normandeau was awarded First Prize (mixed music) in the Musica Nova 2013 International Competition of Electroacoustic Music (Prague, Czech Republic).
