The new discs by Aun have been released on Oral label: Mule, Whitehorse, Blackhorse. Three albums that have in common an uncluttered character of the music and of the disc as an object.

An augmented edition of Portraits polychromes 1: Luc Ferrari has just been published by Ina-GRM. Without changing anything of the original version, this new edition includes the testimony of six women which helps us better understand the man and his work. Tatjana Böhme-Mehner, Brunhild Meyer, Radosveta Bruzaud, Andrea Cohen, Monika Lichtenfeld, and Jacqueline Caux have contributed to this new version of the book.

The SLEPPET — the Sound of Norwegian Spring project, part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Edvard Grieg’s death, has invited creators in electronic music and sound art to produce works based on the sounds from the Norwegian nature and folk culture, those that have also inspired Grieg. Artists — amongst whom Natasha Barrett — have been invited to tour Western Norway in the Spring 2007 to experience and record its nature and rural culture. The works resulting from this process will become an exhibition from August 31 to September 23, 2007 in Bergen (Norway). Arturo Parra will be one of FAMEQ’s guest of honor during their 40th congress. This event will take place in Drummondville from November 15 to 17, 2007. He will give a lecture entitled “Musique et musiciens, auteurs et acteurs de l’art interdisciplinaire,” a guitar master class, and a sound perception workshop.

Domino: le passage du Nord-Ouest by Érick d’Orion has been selected by the biennial Trafic’Art, in Chicoutimi(Québec), which theme is climate changes. d’Orion’s piece will be broadcast (constinuously) on 88,9 FM in Chicoutimi from September 18 to 21, 2007. It will also be presented at [Séquence] arts centre in Saguenay.

The 14th international acousmatic festival L’Espace du son will take place from October 17 to 21, 2007 at Théâtre Marni in Brussels. The opening night of the festival will celebrate the Musiques & Recherches’ 25th anniversary, premiering 3 musical works: Voix de l’aurore by Ingrid Drese, Murmures by Robert Normandeau, and Chœur des femmes 2, a movement from the opera Yawar Fiesta by Annette Vande Gorne on a libretto by Werner Lambersy. The day after, October 18, will be dedicated to Christian Calon’s music; October 19, to Jean-François Minjard; October 20, to Bernard Parmegiani; and October 21 to Beatriz Ferreyra and Ana Dall’Ara-Majek.
