About this Album
One consistent aesthetic motivation behind the works on this disc is the idea of a music that produces its own forms in the continual weaving of a spatial fabric. This is manifest in the way that sounds aggregate and form textures which, like elastic topologies, are warped into shapes, or left to continue a more amorphous existence where suggestions of physical materiality or biological life often appear. Spatial perspectives emerge as a result of the orbits and deformations of these textures, in the near and far territories of the image. A vertical dimension becomes apparent when clouds stratify, diffuse, or glide at different altitudes of the spectrum. In this sense, the fabric may appear as a visual mind-experience of foci, peripheries, colour complexions, and opacities, accumulating into a topography, where spatiality in the present amalgamates with the paths that time has imprinted on memory. As the momentum of forces pilots the music forward, one might also have a bodily, physical sensation of traversing these terrains. Each work is a warp in a world of eternal genesis, where the listener is the only human presence – a cosmic adventurer transported through the strange dimensions of a transient multiverse.

Here’s an unusually packaged CD, wrapped in layers of entangled card inlays. Pulled apart, they reveal an outer card slipcase, an inner card inlay — both covered in texts and largely abstract imagery — and an odd little piece of card that holds the CD itself. The texts reveal recording details, as well as annotating the pieces themselves, of which there are five. The tracks, all recorded between 2008 and 2012, vary in length from around twelve minutes to over twenty. All five are rigorous, ‘hard-boiled’ electroacoustic works.
I’m not going to pretend to remotely encapsulate what goes in

Most albums are instantly accessible, their underlying concepts easily penetrable by the common public. Not so
The track descriptions can be intimidating, so we’ll quote only one in this review.
The title of the album can be broken into root words morphê (shape) and genesis (beginning), which makes morphogenèse “the beginning of the shape.”
The album is approachable not only despite its complexity, but because of it. These five pieces — none briefer than 12 minutes — may lack hooks, but they yield a clear sense of direction. Nature vacillates between the random and the ordered, and these compositions follow suit
These thickets of sound reflect unmapped territories, exuding promise and danger. It may have been difficult for
