The world premiere of Die Suesse unserer traurigen Kindheit, a musical theatre by Hans Tutschku based on the poems and letters of writer Georg Trakl (1887-1914), will be held at the Forum Neues Musiktheater in Stuttgart (Germany) on October 21, 2005. Further performances will be given on October 22, 23, 29, 30 and November 1, 2005.

Composer Christian Calon will take part in the Bienniale of Brazilian Contemporary Music in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Calon will also give conferences and concerts at the Studio PANaroma in São Paulo (Brazil) and at universities in Morón and Buenos Aires (Argentina).

Chants libres will present Pacamambo (2002) — an opera for young audience by Zack Settel and Wajdi Mouawad — for the last time in Montréal on September 21, 2005 at Usine C. Pacamambo is an electroacoustic work for voice, percussions, and flute.

Francis Dhomont will give a concert on October 13, 2005 at the Sonic Laboratory of the Sonic Arts Research Centre in Belfast (Northern Irland). The composer will present his works Points de fuite, Here and There, En cuerdas, Un autre Printemps, and Phonurgie.

Electroacoustic music duo Kristoff K.Roll and writer Anne-James Chaton selected a wide variety of artists for the upcoming Sonorités festival, dedicated to contemporary writings in poetry, improvised music and sound art, to be held in Montpellier (France) from October 6 — 8, 2005. Amongst the invited artists, composers Jean Pallandre will play on October 7, 2005, and Francisco López on October 8, 2005.

Starting mid-September, composer Robert Normandeau will stay in Bourges (France) to write a new work comissionned by the IMEB. Following this residency, his most recent work, Palimpseste, will be premiered in Karlsruhe (Germany) on October 21, 2005 at the Theater des Hörens concert at the ZKM. Originally titled ZedKejeM, the work completes the cycle Onomatopées (“Onomatopoeia”), which include the works Éclats de voix (1991), Spleen (1993) and Le renard et la rose (1995). Normandeau will stay in Karlsruhe for two months for studies on real-time music and multiphonic spatialization.
