Hans Tutschku will be in concert on August 15, 2008 (8 pm) with the Ensemble für Intuitive Musik Weimar (EFIM) at Jakobskirche in Weimar (Germany) as part of the Neue Musik in Thüringen’s Termine event.

Reflections by Peter Batchelor, and Saskatchewan Sound Installations by Gordon Monahan are now on sale on electrocd.com. Peter Batchelor has selected some choice pieces of his atmospheric and meditative sound art, spanning a decade. Gordon Monahan conjures up the prairies of Saskatchewan with an impressive series of varied tracks utilising his fascinating installations.

The Futura festival will take place from August 21 to 24, 2008 in Crest (France). Amongst guest composers, let’s point Patrick Ascione, Natasha Barrett, Michel Chion, Pierre Henry, and Lionel Marchetti’s presence. Also, in the Nuit blanche programme (August 23rd) Gilles Gobeil will present his piece Ombres, espaces, silences…, Francis Dhomont will diffuse Signé Dionysos, and Annette Vande Gorne her piece Exil, chant II.

De derde nieuwe release is die van de Canadees Nicolas Bernier; hij maakt zijn debuut met een mooi gevarieerd album op het NoType-label: van subtiele glitches tot monumentaal klinkende klankvelden en ijle klanken, gepareerd door krakerige laptop-patches: Bernier weet er raad mee.

Kristoff K.Roll has composed the music for the film Walpurgis by filmmaker Frédéric Choffat. The film’s first screening will be on August 7, 2008 at the 61st Locarno International Film Festival (Italy).

At the SMC ’08 Conference Hans Tutschku will present his work Zellen Linien for piano and live electronics (Sebastian Berweck, piano) on July 31, 2008, and will premiere Zwei Räume on August 3, 2008 at the Technische Universität (TU) in Berlin (Germany).
