Gilles Gobeil will present an analysis of his most recent composition Castalie and of the works from the disc petits Big Bangs by Marcelle Deschênes on October 30, 2008 at the Technische Universität (TU) in Berlin (Germany).

Theodoros Lotis will present his work A South Wind will Bring the Sand from his most recent disc Époque de l’eau on October 26, 2008 during the Electroacoustic Music Days 2008 at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete (Greece).

Gilles Gobeil returns to the UK to give a conference and a concert on November 5, 2008 at the University of Hull (Scarborough, England, UK). Both events are presented by SEA (Scarborough Electro-Acoustics). He will then give a master class at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) on November 7, 2008. He will also present works released on his recent disc Trois songes at the Soundings… festival in Edinburgh on November 7. The festival also features works by Robert Dow, Pete Stollery, Denis Smalley, Annette Vande Gorne, Jonty Harrison and Francis Dhomont, amongst others.

Chroniques is a box 4 headphones and as many soundtracks by Érik d’Orion, Nicolas Bernier, Alexis Bellavance, and Nelly-Ève Rajotte. Chroniques will be launched on October 30, 2008 at the Maison de la culture Notre-Dame-de-Grâce in Montréal. The exhibition will last until January 15, 2009.

Gilles Gobeil will be in the United Kingdom and Germany to present a conference at The University of Sheffield (UK) on October 20, 2008, a conference and concert at De Montfort University (Leicester, UK) on October 22, and a concert (with the works from his most recent disc Trois songes) at the ZKM (Karlsruhe, Germany) on October 24.

Robert Normandeau will be composer in residence at Bangor University (Whales, UK) from October 20 to 31, 2008 as the 2008-09 Parry Williams Visiting Composer Fellow. He will start the composition of a new piece to be premiered in 2009. During his residency, he will give a conference, a master class, and on October 30 a concert solo of recent works: Murmures, Palimpseste, Kuppel, Chorus, and StrinGDberg. The same evening Jonty Harrison will premiere his piece Phantom Power.
